Question 2: What documents are required for Vietnam visa?
The applicant for a Vietnam entry visa needs to prepare for the following documents:
- Visa application form
- A valid passport for at least 6 months
- Papers proving the itinerary of the tour. The applicant must present documents related to the tour to prove to the competent authority of their travel.

Question 3: What is the length of stay on a Vietnam tourist visa? Can I apply for an extension?
Vietnam visa has single-entry and multiple-entry types. Single entry visas are only valid for single entry and exit, and multiple entry visas are not limited to the number of entry and exit in the duration of a valid visa. The maximum stay is from 1 to 3 months.
When foreigners enter Vietnam, and the visa expires, they can apply for Vietnam visa extension or a new visa, depending on each specific case. New or extended visas can be single or multiple.

Vietnam visa application fee is 25 USD, submitted 1 time at the Vietnamese embassy or consulate in the United States. This fee is not refundable if the application is rejected.

You can come in person or have a relative bring the dossier to the embassy to submit. Alternatively, you can use the post delivery service if desired. In addition, US citizens can apply for an electronic visa.

Normally within 5 to 7 working days, you will get the visa results. In an emergency, you can get your results within 48 hours, but for an extra fee.
